I love drawing characters and sci-fi/fantasy concepts in a cartoony style. My favourite subject matter is ordinary people in strange circumstances. I’m working towards making some small comics to tell little stories, but for now I mostly just have lots of out-of-context doodles, and you’ll have to imagine what they’re really about.

I used to draw everything digitally, but in 2018 I rediscovered drawing on actual paper. I’m still learning, but I think the switch back to traditional media has made a big difference for me. I’m much happier with my shapes and linework now.

Most of the drawings here are from the post-2018 drawing-on-paper age, but there’s a small gallery of older digital drawings, and a few recent digital ones in there as well.

All of my drawings in one giant chronological stack, including things that don’t appear in any of the galleries below.

Portraits on black

A quick sketch on cheap printer paper ended up escalating into a series of fourteen illustrations.

Inktober 2019

My second attempt at doing Inktober, and it all went a bit more smoothly this year. I think I’m getting better at it, slowly.

Inktober 2018

I had been meaning to do Inktober for a few years, but 2018 was the first time I actually did. I even managed to do every day! I slipped a few days in the middle but made it up by the end.

Digital stuff

Some really old stuff drawn in Photoshop and a few other things. Watch out for varying quality levels.
